i searched around on here, and found nothing: everyone here ought to check out Daniel Lopatin, aka Oneohtrix Point Never. he does this unique kind of 80s/90s analog synth music that can't be explained without hearing.

he's got a distinctly american view of this kind of music - it invokes images of Blade Runner and other such dystopian futures.
he also did a one-off collaboration with incredible guitarman Mark McGuire (unrelated to the baseball player - if you can find his stuff, GET IT) called Skyramps:
if you can manage to find their release, Days of Thunder, i highly recommend it. you may have to use your resources though, if you know what i mean.
