Twoism meeting #2

Post by Guido »

Hello fellow BoC fans,

Jeske (TheSilenceEchoes) and I are planning to organise a second official Twoism meeting.

Just like the previous time it will be held in the Netherlands, around April, but this is only a guideline. As a matter of fact, nothing is fixed or certain at this point. We would firstly like to know who is interested in attending, at whose place it will be held and eventually a specific date. Just like the previous time, use this topic to express your ideas and preferences.

Jeske and I will be organising this together with the person hosting the convention. We are excited and motivated to make this happen. Everyone is very welcome, besides Dutch people we would like to attract some Twoism regulars from abroad. Places to crash can likely be arranged for you.

Mods, can this be made sticky?

This certainly looks well decent! Will have to check how much a flight would cost etc, but definitely would like to attend.

Yeah this is going to be nice :). I appreciate the enthusiasm! Too bad you can't come Rik.

So we have: Jeske, Jed, Jake, Rob, Emil, portiss, ShammenDelly, two of Jeske's siblings, one or two friends of mine and myself. That makes 12 ;).

hi everyone. ive not posted in ages but do speak with guido occasionally, and now i'm here to check the facts ;)

so, what's the plan when we all arrive? are we going to chill at a park? someone's flat? are we renting a venue or pub?

you speak of a convention and since i didn't attend last time i'm really not sure what that means.

maybe someone can fill me in on the details of the previous meetup!

cheers.

hi there Jeroen!! Nice to meet ya :)
Last meeting was very informal, nice and small. We were at Earthbound's place, listening to music and having a good time. It started in the afternoon and ended late at night. We went for a walk and sat in the garden with a fire at night. We're not sure what the April meeting is going to look like, because we want to let it depend on ideas from you all.
Personally i think it would be best to meet at someone's place (and it can probably be at my place in Ede, but if someone else could offer his place as a second 'uitvalsbasis', should my place turn out to be unsuitable after all, that'd be great. Preferably something centrally situated) and from there go to a nice spot in a nearby forest or field or anything to make a fire, listen to music, eat, drink, smoke some and be merry :)
Renting a pub could be cool too. In Ede there's this bar you can rent for parties and stuff. But it's pretty expensive. I checked a while ago for my graduation party and as i recall, to make all ends need, you need at least 50 people to come and each one of them has to order at least 2 drinks... Perhaps someone knows another place that is cheaper?
