I have though about this often. I came to the conclusion recently that it is an ESL thing.
Utilize slapstick for universal effect here.

MODS: You guys need to stop being so hypercritical, let go of a little control, that's the nature of the interwebs

+1 - This forum can be a little trigger happy when it comes to threads being closed. Just sayin'.

It really is. I had one of my threads closed which was a link to a BoC video I'd done. Purely because it also included a link to another video that had already been linked.

Hence why I don't generally bother to post here, but lurk instead. It's borderline censorship, very un-BoC in my opinion.

yeah totally! I say let the discussion flow, these forums are imperfect (in terms of structure and organization) by design so there's no point in closing topics for the sake of perfection, this aint wikipedia, let the discussion flow i say, this forum will never be perfectly organized and that's its beauty, THE MODS NEED TO FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO DO BESIDES LOCK TOPICS IS BASICALLY WHAT I'M SAYING, YOU GUYS ARE JUST BEING FASCIST LAMEOS

this started happening when we realized we weren't going to have boc news for awhile and the mods decided to lock topics to fill their time,...my accusation isnt completely true, but its true enough

I know right its been like fucking Dachau around here. Have you noticed the graphic and color scheme? The Einsatzgruppen must have had a hand decorating this place, it looks like a gas chamber.

either way someone loses. those of us who prefer the kind of order the mods afford us would be left in the lurch in that case. to which i'm sure the reaction is probably 'too bad, take a hike, see ya'

Wow. Love the fake track listing. Fav. is "ready set not yet".

Sux they Locked it up. It was probably more about person talking about them using orchestration in the music that did it.

I'm totally Stoked tho for the new album. WOOHOO!!!

if it is indeed a double album, i hoping one of them is Hell Interface. they've sorely neglected that moniker.

True, though their cause for closing topics is a little extreme and silly sometimes .

It's always difficult to decide wether to close a topic or not. This time I made the decission because the topic was going into a ridicule direction.

We try to keep the BoC section a little bit on topic and don't want all these nonsense topics in there. Since we have mdg we don't hesitate to close a topic with yet another rumour.

Although I agree with both sides of the argument, I am quite glad I joined this forum and partake in this community. The Animal Collective forum, is quite horrible, I lurked for a day and decided it wasn't worth it. WATMM I checked out also, and was baffled and quite confused at all the sarcastic and weird posts. There are posts of those kind here, but a little more humorous.

That's what we are striving for.

We try to keep a certain standard without silence someone, and believe me... that's quite a task.
