Lying Under Moribund Waves
Hey guys,
This was recently released via Lunar Testing Lab's label Secret Station. There was a limited run of about 10 copies, but it's also available for free download:

REALLY well done. For me this album stands out from most net releases I come by. Cloudblood is a big favorite, put a big smile on my face. Personally, because folk and melancholic electronica are two of my favorite genres, I think no two sounds complement each other so much as a guitar and a lowpassed synth. I would really like to experiment with this myself, but as I can't play guitar I'm limited to sampling it (which I did on a few occasions).
I really recommend everyone but especially fans of Bibio/Pink Floyd (and similar artists) to give this a chance!

My favorites so far are
Octopus Pheremones - Great dub feel and subsequent ambience
Cloudblood - Overall a very nice feel, great clean picking and lovely counterpart by the saxophone (if I'm hearing that correctly?). Gives me chills.
Unique concoction of styles, I'm glad I have this in my library. Killer album art as well
The best thing about this album is how distinctive it is. Keep it up!

Thanks so much guys
Your encouragement is like a giant mound of pork fat in my oven of creativity.
I wasn't sure if I convincingly pulled off the psych-folk/electronic mix so I'm very glad it works for you.
Yes, saturdayindex, that is a saxophone in Cloudblood.
My parents forced me to play it throughout elementary school and I hated every second of it. I then picked up a guitar in late high school and never looked back.
My saxophone was sitting in a cupboard collecting dust for 7 years before I decided to take it out and see if I could still play. I'm definitely a bit rusty, but I think it comes across okay (I just slapped a shitload of reverb on it).[/i]
