Can anyone name this supposed BOC track?

Post by Xurbatronic »

I've had this track for years, and I know full well it isn't a BOC production, but I haven't come across this ambient drone anywhere else to be able to name it - anyone out there got a clue who this tune is actually by? I got it from Napster, and it was labelled 'Boards of Canada - Middle Field.' I'll be grateful to know who created it, a very nice ambience but certainly not BOC!

a breaks track that loops a few times to match the length of the boc track. kinda crystal method-y.

there's a missing "hyper" in the text transfer protocol syntax.

The only thing that came to mind was the intro to "Between Us and Them" by Ulrich Schnauss.

If the sound is unique to him, then it might be a demo (or another one of his songs?) if not, then who knows.

Sounds like Drape to me; very Boccy and droney sounds. I have one album "Dream Words" and your track doesn't sound a million miles away from "A Postscript" (albeit their track is longer).

Worth checking out anyway for boccy/drone goodness!

Fanfare For Lake Flies is a big favourite of mine.
