Plaid Scintilli

Hi,

I've allways associated plaid somewhat to boc and for a while (=few years) I was awaiting the new record which they kept anouncing on their website plaid.co.uk. I check that website now and then (not 'boc-daily' but maybe once a month) and now I just got a 403 warning. No access to the server.
It's no longer listing in google search either. Are they gone???

The 'will be on warp' announcement is new to me. appearently some other ppl at last fm thought it's down.

Maybe plaid wasn't been sure about releasing on warp?? New contract? Maybe boc went on strike untill plaid got a new contract

. I'll stop thinking now.

now the news is off the website
they wrote a fan over at watmm saying the album is done and warp isnt happy with it or something.

jeez, warp sucks these days, for the most part. release the damn LP!

well, until its confirmed by WARP its not official, but on twitter I read a bunch of music journalists in paris last night heard the album. It was a preview - I imagine the official artwork, tracklisting and such is gonna drop in a week or sell...confirmed by 2-3 people, so its legit..

Plaid have givin us 2 soundtracks, 2 LPs, 2 world tours and some remixes since "Campfire Headphase" came out. Just Sayin'

Great CD package, I wonder what the vinyl will look like and let's hope there will be a vinyl/T-shirt bundle as well.

Oh yes! Vinyl for me but I might just get away with buying that cool CD package for the wife. She likes Plaid but is scared of my turntable!

Great news! Looking forward to this. As always, their album art is super with it spelled out in block letters. Looks like a cool idea with the puzzle too.

Never really got into Plaid, because of being to lazy. At the moment I'm listening to a 100 video playlist of Plaid on Youtube, and I think I've got a new addiction other than Boards of Canada. Can't believe I haven't gotten intoo them earlier.

Looking forward to this release/discovering all the other old releases.

I used to have a "Holy Trinity" of electronic artistswho commanded the most respect from me, and they were BOC, Aphex, and Plaid, because they each seemed to carve a true niche of creativity and have a real grasp on musicianship and carved out their own genre when no one else was doing anything similar. For years I was crazy about all three, and in my mind no one could touch them.

Never clicked with this band. Tried a few times but they always come across a bit too quirky for me.

they have always been the tri-fecta in my opinion .. if we get BoC this year I will feel 21 years old again!

I can see how someone could think that. I think 'playful' is a better description.

Consistently my favourite Warp artist after BoC.

already got rest proof clockwork and love it, mbuki mvuki would be great.. trainer..
i think the only song i really like on spokes is Even Spring
hauntingly great.
