check it out. very progressive in my opinion. can't wait for my cd to arrive. you can actually listen to the whole album on youtube. haven't heard hip hop that turned my head like this in a long time.

one of the best records of the year so far, it's a game changer of hip hop, and probably the best hip hop record since Madvillain. Gives Madvillain a run for its money. Back to front amazing.

sorry TTK, didn't know you had started a thread! you were on the ball way before me. no doubt this is one of my favorite records of 2011, which hasn't been a good year for music (that I like). fantasitc album. also listened to the 2 eps they have. if I had to describe what it sounds like, I'd say.... ghetto ancient astronauts on a pilgrimage by camelback on a different planet.

I definitely disagree with the whole not that good a year for music thing. I think it's been a really good year, like, really good. I've got good albums up the wazoo.
Especially for hip hop, what with Shabazz Palaces, Death Grips, Big K.R.I.T., Beastie Boys, and to an extent, Jay Z and Kanye, and Tyler the Creator. And Odd Future in general.

just my opinion. I am happy you found some good music this year. a lot of it has to do with my mood. and this year has been very hard on me as well, which influences what I think to be good music. one thing I liked upon receiving black up cd is the case, which is made of black velvet with gold lettering. nice packaging
