The untitled Warp 10 live tracks

Post by PlacentaSand »

Okay so I've listened to the unknown tracks so many times and I've always come to the same conclusion. WHY ARE THESE TRACKS BEING HELD CAPTIVE!? I mean holy fuck they are just so good. The 11 minute one is officially my favorite BoC track of all time.

Also the live performance of Telephasic Workshop is also fantastic.

Track 8 (the 11 minute one) is really good, IMO.

Haven't listened to the other too much.

I'm not sure why these weren't released but I have a feeling. BoC has a tendency to not put any of their material that leans further toward the Ambient Techno genre on their releases (i.e. XYZ, Chinook, this) and my guess is probably that they don't want to sound too close to their peers on their label and related genres. They only go with the stuff similar to what we know as BoC and everything that deviates does not make it onto the albums.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

And for anyone else who might not have it: http://www.mediafire.com/?edbh6v18q4eipfp

That's the full set, in good quality and the corrected tags version, with the titles and whatnot cleaned up a bit and with the first untitled track not being called "The Color of The Fire" as it's so commonly mislabeled.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

Not sure exactly what.

However, after listening extensively, I have a pretty strong feeling that both vocoded voices are female. That's about all I can tell with the recording I have.

Thanks for the link. Fun fact: Many, many years ago, I pulled the first track off that set from a file sharing service and it was mislabled as "soylent night".

I always thought the vocoder vocal says exactly that indeed: funky singing.

Cheers for this Rodheh, loving Telephasic Workshop :D

I don't suppose you've got a good quality version of Live @ Lighthouse fella? I've got the 192kbps MP3s I downloaded from the watmm forum, although they sound ok, would like the best available version.

Nope, that's all I got.

Besides, it sounds fuzzy and a bit muffled in the 192 version, which means it probably was the fault of the recording device, not the bitrate, and I'm not sure there'll be any improvement to a higher bitrate copy. With bootlegs, there's often not. Warp10 is an exception.

It's funny how it was the earliest one, but IMO it's the definitive BoC live recording available right now.

Yeah I thought that might be the case. It's not really that bad in terms of sound quality, you don't get that horrible metallic sound that you get with low bitrates, so I'm relatively happy.

It's a shame that Live @ ATP isn't better sound quality. Just had a little listen and it's not even worth keeping imo.

Just having a listen and I guess I have maybe a better copy, pulled off of Dime awhile but mine sounds just as good as the other live recordings of BoC. Love how at the end of that 11 minute track there's a slight pause whilst the crowd is gob smacked and one guy finally goes "whatta treat!" and the place goes wildl. And how about the *ickhead who shouts "press play!!" at the start of live at ATP! Alll these moments...lost...like..tears in......the...rain.

You gotta upload it for us then, dude! We all have these shitty copies where everything is distorted in the latter half of the set.

Ah, going back over the last half of the set mine is distorted as well, bummer.
