Very interesting indeed. The newer Black Dog members are a good bunch, check out Radio Scarecrow if you haven't already! I'm sure when this remix surfaces it'll be lush

As discussed in WATMM, you should notice the use of word "for" there, which might implicate that they are doing a remix because BoC asked them to do so.

If this happens, please let it be an unreleased track. I'm sure it will be a great song and all that, but I have heard enough shitty YouTube remixes of officially released material to last me a lifetime.

Looking forward to this. Trying to think why this could be happening

1) Black Dog just randomly remixing a BoC track. Doubt it, because the word "for" suggests its at BoC's request for use on new releases.
2) BoC are coming out with an EP. Like with Odd Nosdam, Black Dog remixing a track on it.
3) BoC are coming out with an album and Black Dog are contributing a remix. Doubt it, I've got several albums where there's a remix on there but usually its either a shitty club remix or its for padding, and I don't see a new BoC album needing padding. Actually, I don't see a new BoC album getting interupted by remixes, they tend to stand alone.
4) BoC are coming out with rereleased versions of one or more of their old released albums, and remixes feature as sweetners
5) BoC are coming out with repackaged old tunes era stuff and getting a remix done at the same time. Doubt this too, for the same reason.
6) Warp are doing a greatest hits, and are putting a remix on there.
7) Warp are doing a huge Best of / Unreleased / Remixes multi-disc special.

My money's on 2 or 4. Would love it to be 7 though!

I'd have to go with 7. It'll be like 2 boc tracks in a mixture of a bunch of other artists stuff like 747.

it's a bit silly to think threads shouldn't be bumped, stupid or not. anyway thought it was interesting that it has been two years with no signs of life, which is worthy of a friendly bump to point out sometimes. in the meantime, i'll be giving Black Dog's Tranklements another go. would love to hear a BoC remix with a Spatchka feel to it.
