The EN-ESS-EH is building an enormous facility near me right now that supposedly is going to have like "yaddaflops" of data storage, or whatever the denomination (something like 10^24). I'm not surprised. If you're going to put cameras on every street in a country, you're definitely going to want to develop a system that makes them more useful and efficient. Face recognition and data storage would be the only logical step.
I've heard this too. Huxley's stance on a lot of things was always very confusing to me, particularly after I read doors of perception. I've got it but haven't read it yet. Not exactly sure how I heard he was for these things instead of against them.Cryabetes wrote:Have you read Brave New World? It's pretty clear he was against a lot of the things he was showing. Reading Island definitely clears up his stance on the rest.
