I do know that McGriff is an obscure reference to a '90s baseball player. Beyond that, I can only assume its some sort of inside joke, the likes of which I haven't seen since grade school.

Ok, they are on MTV, but it's not the first time MTV accidentally plays good music...

Officially, BOC discography begins in 1995 with Twoism, but we know they started playing music years before. They've been (more or less) confidential for too long, so I don't think this will affect their work. They do what they do, they do the kind of music they want to do (to play, to hear), they are not the new Arctic Monkeys or the new Libertines... (and I hope they're not gonna turn into a new Moby). "Dayvan cowboy" on MTV is not the beginning of the end.

I've been there from the beginning, MTV sucks, but if BoC is on it's good for them!

MTV is crap but MTV2 is quite good, especially 120 Minutes. I watched it tonight and the BoC video fit in quite well with the other stuff they played. Ironically they didn't display the band name/song title though...
