Geogaddi is really a great album package. I love the blue triangles on the back with light shining through from behind. It looks only a certain way at that scale on paper. The matte stock is perfect. And I love the alphabet soup font.

Music is my favorite though because of its simplicity. Maybe its the matte stock they used, but it just feels like an old cover, like a Carole King album. Its not too stiff or anything, and ages in the same way. So its perfect for the sound itself. And I love the blowup of the "kids" on the inside--you can just see the emuslion whizzing by as if it was being projected, with the debris and imperfection going away into time. With no intrusive credits or blather. Just art. And what a gorgeous color and font. There is a reason I think they aren't blatantly doing the 1978-80 strident and cold and warm vintage doc/public television sound, and it is because they perfectly realized it, graphically as well, the total vibe of public information through visual media broadcasted from head central, on that album. No reason to do it again. Time to explore other important ideas, but we might hear some outtakes on a future collection of old tracks, Whitewater etc..

Headphase I thought would continue the paper type, but was surprised to find it semi-matte with kind of a waxy finish I feel it might almost be waterproofed (it is not). Really gross yellows in there, but they glow with enough "focus"

The art was so complex that i had trouble associating it to what i was hearing. It represented the concept though. The last 2 covers, including IABP, look to me like the music sound-feels. This is how I personally enjoy the albums though, by associating it with the music. In my own way.

Another example of this for me would be the ELP album Tarkus, for what it is, I cant shake the cover from the very strange vibe of the album. they work together so well in a weird weird way, making it a huge and peculiar experience for me.

I agree that they will never sound like they did back in 1998. They accomplished that sound. But they have advanced each album/ep. I wonder what the new one's style will be...

Geogaddi's art work is amazing. That vinyl packaging is by far my favorite out my entire vinyl collection. Each record comes in it's own sleeve with it's own art work. Each center label has it's own art too. And I agree the texture of the package gives off a great feel like old records have.

No doubt about that--I love Music but each album has been as brilliant as they are all particular. Being somewhat more interested in the late 60's/early 70's than the late 70's/early 80's, I love Headphase for its feeling of ramblin' travel, tapey/vinyl sound, and use of acoustic and electric guitars which as I think they mentioned, along with the ramblin' aspect, recall Joni Mitchell's greatest work. And it really does have a "mixtape" sound, just as Music is programmed almost like a day of public television broadcasting, and Geogaddi, well, a swirling psychedelic vortex into hell with a rope ladder to the outside, which happens to terminate inside a crooked hollow old tree, with a tiny door to the outside. But its difficult to explain how amazing that album really is. Electronica is just a tiny part. They are really more like rock records.

I'm super excited to get my copies of MHTRTC and Geogaddi in the mail.

My copy of IABPOITC is skipping a bit, but I can't see how it would have been scratched. I'm thinking it might have collected some dust in my room.

Any vinyl cleaning tips?

For sure! Campfire is a road trip album. It's name says it all. Chilling by a fire on a cool night with family and friends listening to music. In a trance looking at the fire, hearing the wood pop and crack. From beginning to end it's a trip. Has anyone ever listened to Campfire Headphase by an actual campfire? It really makes sense why they named it that.

Try using a magnetic vinyl comb/dust eraser. It looks like a chalk eraser.

Does anyone on the board own the original press of Twoism? Someone out there has to.

It's out of control. Seriously. But I guess if someone is willing to pay that much for it? All that I can say is, I'm glad I got my BoC Vinyl before they went up in value.

Bought all my Boc vinyl from Rubadub records in glasgow.
give them a phone they have loads of stuff not out on the shop floor!
