It's great! The main thing I would say is, don't be looking for a major step forward in CvsJ's sound, this is old stuff, and although it sounds great, it's not as ...uhhh... developed? polished, maybe? as Whole Numbers or anything like that. If you love CvsJ this is a necessary addition to your collection, but it's not like a facemelting surprise.

Cool. I'll definitely get it then. Also, I have three CvsJ tracks from his old website that were made available to download for free (Soulrobots, Untitled, and Villea.) I was wondering if it would be kosher if I shared them with you all if you don't happen to have them already?

Is this his best album?

I think it's definately his most focused album. Whole Numbers is, in my humle opinion, just some generic, unoriginal space ambient.

PS: this pitchfork review always makes me laugh: http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/133 ... he-basics/

Well i've just bought the new one off Amazon as well. Well i think it's the new one... self titled?

Edit: my bad, I've bought the self-titled debut. Just listened to it, very ambient, very nice. i prefer Go Hawaii and Whole Numbers Play The Basics but it's still good.

Need to get the new one now!

Wow. Hipster venom. I wonder if that review got him laid or something.

I'd love the poster and the t-shirt, I don't want any vinyl, i don't have a turntable and consider vinyls to be extraneous and more to think about than i'd like to when it comes to music.
