Totally bought those two tracks from Amazon way back when it came out, but what is the five second loop?

It is Spiro he just named the vinyl wrong. One of (of2) the 10" vinyls in the Warp 20 box set is called (Infinite) and contains the loop of Spiro.

I downloaded a torrent of warp20 in 320 and have five different, erm, "disks"

I was checking out the ones I hadn't paid much attention to. Lots of cool stuff. Then I checked out the "Infinite." Well, it's a bunch of 5-second loops from the usual Warp suspects: Aphex Twin, Ae, etc. etc. etc. From BoC there is Dayvan Cowboy, Open the Light, Telephasic Workshop, An Eagle in Your Mind, and Spiro. Taking my cue from the title of the "disk" (or whatever you want to call it) "Infinite," I set foobar to Repeat (track) and listened to quite a few of them. Open the Light and Spiro are pretty cool, but the loop of An Eagle in Your Mind is amazing (when looped). Hard to describe. I think it might be the part right before "I love you." Anyway, yeah.

Actually I think I know what it's from. I am in the midst of buying the dvd. I am almost 100% sure it's from the 1974 tv show The Zoo Gang: EP 5 The Counterfeit Trap and the person speaking is Philip Madoc. On the other hand digging up samples BoC has used takes away from the music, I like to make up my own thoughts on what it is, so sometimes I kick myself for not letting it go and to just let it soak, nothing more. Oh well.

I agree that finding the original samples takes away from the music.
