I think some people need to look into who Gaddafi really was and what he did for the people in Libya. He was executed by the western powers because he wanted to introduce a new currency in exchange for oil....

GOLD. America doesn't have any that so they would've been fucked. So now they have installed a puppet government.

Enjoy this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvza6lUm9pU

then, start doing some more research.

RIP Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi. You were a visionary and a true leader for all of Africa.
Fuck the NWO. Fuck the Illuminati.

Yup! You said it! His country was particularly rich and he wanted it to be sovereign. The international banks were having none of that! I'll give Gaddafi some cred for that. It's a pity that the world doesn't work that way though.

I'd also like to say that Julian Candy has shown me why I'm so broke. :(

He did supply terrorist organisations with weapons though.

The kind of terrorist organisations who set off car bombs in public areas in one of the biggest cities in the UK, or who made life hell for thousands of people in Northern Ireland for decades.

Can we stop putting this scumbag on a pedestal simply because he defied the US or Illuminati or New World Order or what ever sort of conspiratorial nonsense you care to make up. He was a very unpleasant person who led a particularly foul regime (disagree? Be thankful that you can - disagreeing with the party line under Gaddafi could mean that you mysteriously "disappear"). He's gone and the people of Libya have a chance to make a real success of their by-all-accounts beautiful country. This should be celebrated.

For sure. It just goes to show there are two sides to every story. More accurately, there is a good/ bad side to every story.

So are you trying to tell me that the USA has never funded terrorist organisations? My own mother was in a building in Manchester in which an IRA bomb went off. The French, British, American and Soviet regimes have been responsible for far more loss of life than Gaddafi supposedly ever was. All 4 of the above mentioned countries have tortured their own citizens and killed millions more outside of their own country. This is like calling "pot kettle black'.

They're all guilty. It's part of their job to be corrupt and fucking evil.

Slightly unrelated, but what are the dates in your signature about, hexagon son?

What difference does it make? No one here is saying those countries/parties are innocent. The fact is Gadaffi was a tyrant.

Thank you.

I'm not condoning the actions - past or present - of any other country. Simply saying that the Libyan people chose to stand up and depose the foul regime that had been ruling over them. There is no grand New World Order conspiracy - this was by all accounts a grass-roots uprising, albeit supported by the NATO - not because of some conspiracy, but because it was the right thing to do. I'm the last person usually to praise the current uk government, but on this occasion Cameron acted well.

Nah, this shit was tribal. A small portion of eastern Libyians who didn't like Gaddafi. We fucked around in some other countries internal affairs to suit our own goals. Ron Paul is right on with his foreign policies and economic policies. I think the reason I am so flabbergasted over the whole thing is because the Western leaders drove a knife straight into his back. A proper fucking betrayal. I have no respect for that whatsoever.

Oh and I'll bet David Cameron and the rest of them had a good wank to this:

Well you're right on one point at least. David Cameron is undoubtedly a wanker.
I'll give you that much at least.

You're right. There is no conspiracy. It's absolute 100 percent fact that we're headed for a global economy and government. This has been in the works for YEARS. We were all born into this, which is probably why it's so hard people to see it. When you're smack in the middle of something, it's hard to see just what it is you're in. Nations don't have the power and sovereignty they once did. Conglomerations of nations and megalith corporations who are truly sovereign, don't play by common law, and hold all of the resources make the decisions now, and they all act globally. Call it conspiracy if you want, but we are going global, it's the only logical next step in our societal process. It's either that or we all kill each other fighting, pretending that one nation is still more prominent mighty, and less evil than another. Now, whether the process that gets us to this point is being designed and directed, and people know how it will play out, that's another story.

I have not seen a split second of Gaddafi's death footage. There's something about watching people get tortured and sodomized that doesn't interest me. Call me crazy.

Nope, your not crazy at all. Just wanted to let people know that these kinds of things have happened and there is video proof. I completely respect that point of view of not wanting to watch atrocious things. Slightly off-topic, but I'm starting to wonder if this "occupy" movement is going to completely backfire on the people with us losing whatever rights we have left...
