How the fuck do you say something like this? How is this allowed?! There is nothing going on in this argument beyond religious babbling and false propaganda regarding health benefits/domestic violence (HUH?) according to CNN. This is extremely disheartening to me.
It's astonishing how fucked up the situation is in this country. I mean, I think most people are aware of it, but not everyone sees how truly staggering it is until shit like that gets said.
If someone believes that the voting beliefs of a group of adults should be respected, that's fine. It is true, they do have the right to vote in an amendment. However, if the group of adults consisting of gay/bisexual people who broadly are asking for the right to marry a person of the same sex (which I'm sure aside from the small population of just anti-marriage period people, is virtually ALL of them) then you simply are anti-gay/bisexual by effect of your decision. It doesn't matter what reasoning you use to back it up.
So, I think these religious asshats should probably just flat out admit "Yes, we are anti-gay equality" and go with it honestly, or just shut their fucking mouths, period.
