So I set to taking care of business and spent a couple hours working through the labyrinth from hell that is the final dungeon in this game, drawing up a map to figure my way through the palace all the way to the last two bosses.
Finally I reached the last boss, Dark Link, and proceeded to have an epic sword fight battle to the death (at least by NES standards), beating him down to finish the game in a moment of nostalgic triumph and glory. It was like I was 8 again. It was awesome to play this game again and so much fun because of the challenge and the necessity of having to draw up a map to get me through it.
Just thought I would post this since many of you might appreciate the nostalgia of exploring such cool things from youth.
Zelda from NES to N64 was basically the best part of my childhood, and I don't think anything can touch the wonder that those games instilled in me.
