Had it happen once in person, in the last few days of me living in my student house in my final year of university -- us and the neighbours had a barbecue. During this, they got their iPod and speakers out and played a ton of good music -- Grimes, Mount Kimbie, and at one point, 'Dayvan Cowboy'. Appropriately I was wearing my Aphex Twin shirt at the time and had a brief conversation about music, despite not having known their wicked music taste for the two years I'd been living there.DawnChorus wrote:I've heard them on Top Gear and also used in an Adult Swim bump. Has yet to happen in person, though.

I don't remember exactly, but my family always used to go on road trips from Michigan to Illinois so probably somewhere in the cornfields of Indiana or Illinois. Definitely was not the kind of place I'd expect to hear BoC.circleofthesun wrote:What PART of the middle of nowhere?plasselb wrote:I heard 1969 in a gas station in the middle of nowhere once. I actually grew up in Northern MN for the first ten years of my life, and my dad is from Elgin, IL.
I lived the next 5 in California and am currently here.
[spolier]I wish I was still in Santa Rosa
