Indeed, I was round at my Mum's a couple of weeks ago and trying to drown it out while she was watching it and suddenly Kid For Today comes over the TV.

Had it happen once in person, in the last few days of me living in my student house in my final year of university -- us and the neighbours had a barbecue. During this, they got their iPod and speakers out and played a ton of good music -- Grimes, Mount Kimbie, and at one point, 'Dayvan Cowboy'. Appropriately I was wearing my Aphex Twin shirt at the time and had a brief conversation about music, despite not having known their wicked music taste for the two years I'd been living there.

as a huge geelong supporter i was incredibly emotional

I don't remember exactly, but my family always used to go on road trips from Michigan to Illinois so probably somewhere in the cornfields of Indiana or Illinois. Definitely was not the kind of place I'd expect to hear BoC.
