Woke up this morning to a sunny day and just felt the need to listen to IABPOITC (the song) several times because the weather has put me right in the mood for it and had to go back and find this thread because that awesome moment at 4:29 when the little solo organ comes in for a few seconds has specifically been going round in my head all morning. It's weird how certain days you just wake up really in the mood for a certain song because of a particular moment in it.

THAT is the moment! Such an amazing tease. I want it to open up into longer melody so bad but I mustn't be greedy I know. Its just so perfect. If it did go off more there, would it be too indulgent? It leaves me eternally wanting more yet somehow I am sated as well. Sigh...sevenELIXIR wrote:kid for today - 4:58-5:10... amazing

One of my favourite specific moments is on You Could Feel the Sky when the beat stops and everything becomes clear, and all of the sudden a sort of trival singing appears out of the blue. That was the moment that turned me from an occasional listener to someone who got what BoC and Geogaddi was all about I think. I was getting into the band but I wasn't a great fan of the album, I just liked some tracks on it, but after hearing that small moment I felt so amazed that the rest of the music just fitted right in with me.
Another moment I really like is the last part of Turquoise Hexagon Sun when the background vocals become clearer, but not clear enough to actually understand what they're talking about. Genious track in my opinion.

The really high-pitched reverberating synth line that come in part way through Smokes Quantity. Haunting is the only way I can describe it. I think it's one of the most understated BoC moments.
The eerie undertones piping up during Diving Station. So intensely wonderful. Makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.
The last phase of Happy Cycling, which condenses all the greatest feelings which BoC's music produces across several layers of awesomeness. In the truest sense of the word.

I haven't seen the beginning of Carcan nor the entirety of 5-9-78 mentioned yet... They're both just so... I don't know. Not so sure I can even describe these two in english, much less any other language. Listening to these two is when I question if BoC are even human. As in, how could something that exists on this planet create something so euphoric and delightful? I have no idea.
