It is true, first listen of Geo when it came out and I only heard one or two standouts.

Whoa. Pump the brakes. I love the album so far but give it 15 years. I had TW on this morning (first time I'd intently listened to it in awhile) and found it to be impossibly good.
Hey man, just my opinion.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

Music Has The Right To Children is probably the most overrated BoC release ever, and Telephasic Workshop isn't even one of the better songs on it. Try harder next time, new troll!

I definitely would not call MHTRTC overrated

It wasn't bad, but I think I'm gonna need a few more listens to really judge this one. I'm liking the ambient style some of these tracks were taking, but in general I liked this more than I liked MHTRTC and Geogaddi upon first listen.
In terms of MHTRTC being overrated, I suppose it all boils down to personal preference, but I'd say it (and Telephasic Workshop) is a tad overrated, but that's just purely and simply by my standards, which sort of makes calling it overrated a bit redundant, considering everyone has different tastes and people are going to like things more than others.

Guys, give it some listens. There is no better feeling then when the puzzle pieces fall at it's place :).

I genuinely think that without MHTRTC, this forum would be a lot quieter right now.

I suppose that doesn't mean it's not overrated, but I love it.

If you think the album sucked, that's totally fine, you're entitled to your opinion. Although surely you'd need to give it another listen before finally deciding?

I thought it was great! I am going nuts due to the fact that I can't listen to it again for another week.

I don't know. Haven't listened to it yet. Like I said before, I didn't like Geogaddi at first and we all know how that turned out. Some didn't like Headphase at first. I loved it.

I loved it, but there were thousands of people who listened so I'm sure some of them thought it sucked (how do you make that little shruggy ascii guy?)

It did register more immediately with me than geogaddi and tch though. I was kind of expecting another slow burner so it was a cool surprise and I'm really falling in love now.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a thread for people who don't like it though.

At first, I found myself disappointed with some of the songs (I think some of them could have gone on for longer and progressed a bit more) but I think it was the hype surrounding the release that made me think it wasn't a great album.

better than campfire imo though.

I liked it on first listen, but it's definitely growing on me even more, now that the tracks are sounding more familiar.

I don't see the point of comparing it to stuff off MHTRTC ( Definitely don't agree that TW is over-rated ),
I like what the bros have done here, and I like their older stuff. There was a few tracks on this release that I was a bit iffy about on the first go round, not many but a few, and already they are growing on me. Much faster than I expected.

Funnily enough, the one tune I just can't get into is RFTD, so I was relieved to like so much of the rest of the tracks. I know a lot of people love that track, just doesn't sit well with me.
