hmm i dunno, unless you know the area well. you mean the hills on left and right of the album cover itself are mirrored? what about the foreground, the building and pylon? well that would be hard to see from a distance but if you're just talking about the hills... theres many hills :/purgruv wrote:No? How come? What I mean is, its 2 shots of the hills in the same area, the back cover is taken further forward on the left looking at an angle that would intersect the pyramid building on the right if it was there so to speak...
the only similarities i can see is the left side, the angle is similar but again many hills have slopes!
Well, consider the pic below as being the original pic (I used the reserva file and took out the city scape) then if you were to walk left maybe a few hundred yards of the shot so that the block I've highlighted above is in front of the hills, then the resulting shot might be like the back cover shot, due to parallax.thepastinsidepressant wrote:hmm i dunno, unless you know the area well. you mean the hills on left and right of the album cover itself are mirrored? what about the foreground, the building and pylon? well that would be hard to see from a distance but if you're just talking about the hills... theres many hills :/purgruv wrote:No? the only prob with this theory is that on the back cover to the left of the structure, the structure is extended. on the cover the left side drops off.thepastinsidepressant wrote:they're the ghosts of 2 dead cowboyspianoforte wrote:personally, I see two UFO's.
great eyes man but i dont really see how this ispurgruv wrote:Back cover is a shot taken nearby to front cover at sunrise
Describing it got too hard so I did a map view, from this angle the perspective makes the 2 structures appear to merge into 1 when in silhouette.re-phaelam-ed wrote:

Just a thought. The front cover could be dawn as the light is colder. The back cover is obviously the warmer sunset and the cd disc is a hot yellow for a midday sun. So its three suns in one as echoed in the end sequence of the RFTD. Each suggest some sort of alignment.

i get what yer sayin....im just not felling it. the structures have the same DOF on them leading me to believe it is one building.purgruv wrote:Describing it got too hard so I did a map view, from this angle the perspective makes the 2 structures appear to merge into 1 when in silhouette.re-phaelam-ed wrote:

I recently read Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451", and immediately thought of the TH cover when I read this:
SPOILERS AHOY!
"Montag crushed himself down, squeezing himself small, eyes tight. He blinked once. And in that instant saw the city, instead of the bombs, in the air. They had displaced each other.
For another of those impossible instants the city stood, rebuilt and unrecognizable, taller than it had ever hoped or strived to be, taller than man had built it, erected at last in gouts of shattered concrete and sparkles of torn metal into a mural hung like a reversed avalanche, a million colours, a million oddities, a door where a window should be, a top for a bottom, a side for a back, and then the city rolled over and fell down dead."
This line was interesting as well: "Perhaps, who would ever know? Perhaps the great broadcasting stations with their beams of colour and light and talk and chatter went first into oblivion."
