Oooh, did someone say vinyl? Here's my living room-

and here's another 15 or so boxes stored upstairs-

I've also got another 500 or so not pictured (my drum n bass collection, test records, stuff I get for my girlfriend (lots of Zappa), my 'Theme from Shaft' collection, etc.)

I've recently gotten really paranoid about keeping sleeves really clean and all the records verticle in case of warping.

How do people clean their vinyl? I am currently considering buying a Knosti Disco Anti Stat, hearing very good things. Need advice Twoismers!

I just use a microfiber cloth, really. and I cut a square off of a Magic Eraser and use that to gently pull dust off the needle. I know they're not the best, but I'm not sure what the best is so hopefully someone can help us both out!

Noby, I want your Twin Peaks vinyl. They're repressing it to red vinyl! I've been patiently waiting.

Headphase, hi-five for another Madonna fan! Sonically, I think 1990-2003 (Immaculate Collection-American Life) were her best records (sonically, and from content), so I'm sure all of those Ray of Light singles sound fantastic! I think I'm in the minority, as I prefer her 90's & very early 00's stuff to her 80's work. And of course, while her latest records are fun, it all goes downhill once Hard Candy is released, unfortunately).

Enforcedno, how the hell does Skrillex sound on vinyl? I tend to stay away from records that are dynamically squashed and too electronically clean because they don't normally translate to wax that well. Sometimes clean digital music just sounds better, well, digitally.

Ah yeah, I was using a cloth for a while, but I bought the Anti Stat set and it's absolutely brilliant for the money. Really great results, especially considering the machine itself looks cheap.

Love love love this thread. Morris's pics are amazing, as are lunertestinglab's.

I'm currently stuck 1000s of miles away from my records, which are spread between my parents' house in England and my in-law's in Spain. For that reason I've kind of put collecting on hiatus for a couple of years; the only thing I've bought recently are the BoC reissues.

Anyway, this is the only picture I can find, which is pretty shit, but hey. I guess in total I've got about 8 feet's worth of 12"s; LPs and a load of house, techno & breaks, plus a smattering of 7s.

I miss them!
