I used to sort of overlook Oirectine until a couple of months ago - I recalled the tune one day, really out of nowhere and thought "Ah yes, that old BOC track" -- I hadn't listened to it for a while... So I gave it a proper listen on the same evening and concluded it's actually a very good tune at heart.

Turquoise Hexagon Sun - a classic I know, but rarely referenced. Such a stunning bittersweet melody and mood. I miss that sparseness I must admit

Why is this track's existence completely forgotten? It's a total detour from their usual style and sits in the middle of Twoism, so it's not exactly hidden. This is the song I'd expect creepiness and other labels being first attached to, not 'Beware the Friendly Stranger'?

Hmm, it must be my third or fourth time writing this, and no one ever takes note. I guess some things are just not meant to be.

A is to B as B is to C. I think it comes the closest (and still a ways off) to approximating what salvia trip or something similar is like.

I really don't know what is or isn't popular or rates well among others but probably not quite their best stand out tracks I'd have to say

To The Wind is fairly different reminds me of some underground 80's stuff I listened to sometimes growing up. B14, Sherbert Head already mentioned are quite good too. In fact a lot of times I'd find myself taking the releases off my ipod and just going through random 35 tracks and all the other early tapes too many little gems in there to mention.

I adore Macquarie Ridge, one of my all time favorite tracks by them.

I adore Macquarie Ridge, one of my all time favorite tracks by them.

The flute sample playing in my mind, "that" is boards of canada for me. It's one of my favorite tracks. The short, abstract pieces are some of what make boc awesome. If I were to think about boards of canada randomly throughout the day, no joke, I usually hear that darn flute sample playing in my head.
