Most calming BoC track?

My vote goes to "Opening the Mouth". It's almost hypnotizing. Can and has helped me get in a near-meditative state. Polar opposite to "One Very Important Thought", which has this haunting, "impending doom" quality to it, especially at the chord change around "if you could be told..." in conjunction with its message.

2nd place would go to Julie and Candy (which happens to be my favorite BoC track ever), just because it feels like it comes from a place where everything makes sense and everything is alright...everything just comes together. It flows like a river and gives off a feeling like time has almost stopped and you're just there in the moment. OtM takes this to 11. It kinda reminds me of Zelda: Majora's Mask, when you play the song of time and go back to the dawn of the first day.

3rd place is maybe You Could Feel The Sky, because of the percussion mostly and the main drone-ish atmosphere, that or maybe Everything You Do is A Balloon, for its melody.

Off the top of my head, I'd have to say Tears from the Compound Eye, has the most calming effect on me. The blissful, yet haunting tone of the track leaves me completely subdued

Well I didn't mean it like that. Dead Dogs Two has a BoC feel, but if it's a remix I'd rather hear about original BoC tracks.

At this time, I would like to point out that, as far as I know, there is no other version of Last Walk. Therefore, although it appears on someone else's album, it is a Boards of Canada track.

EDIT: Well, that didn't take long. It is on Seed to Sun, but as far as I know, the two songs are totally different.

Don't mistake my opinion for adamance. I just feel the song is its own work and not a remix in the traditional sense.

I'm not mistaking anything. I mean I just stated I wasn't really talking about remixes so you could have given another answer at that point but you wanted to go on about that one song.

Fair enough. I won't belabor the point. Clearly, it is your thread and you make the rules.
