we just put '21st August 2013', missing out the 'of' in the same way that you omit the 'the' from August the 21st.

How does "August the 21st" make any sense? Maybe "August, the 21st" but it still sounds like Yoda or something. To me it sounds like you would have to say "It is August and it is the 21st" for that to be coherent, but then again I've been raised to say August 21st, 2013, so I may be a bit biased. "August" in saying "August 21st" is being used kind of like an adjective to the date of the 21st, not warranting a "the".

Either way, not like it really matters. None of this is worth having an argument over, but I've never heard the implication that's it's "August the 21st".
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

i'm definitely intrigued by 822 being clearly shown. knowing boc it can't just be some random number.. right? with the catalog number and the cosecha transmisiones time & date, this hare krsna virus is probably the most interesting unsolved part of the puzzle.

No, I mean HERE I haven't heard it, and it was being implied we omit a "the"...

Oh right, I just meant we would say dates like that here quite a bit, I don't even see the significance to be honest, but I wasn't arguing with you Rodheh, just was saying I hear/say dates in that format quite a bit, I thought that you thought it was unheard of or incorrect (could be!) :)

No, I have no idea what it's like over there. Like I said, here the month is used almost like an adjective or "flavor", if you will. It's probably far off from what it was originally in actually English English.
