80's Style: Pete Standing Alone

Post by 747Music »

Hey guys, I'm excited to get some feedback on this song I'm making. It's, as the title suggests, Pete Standing Alone done with 80's synth patches. Give it a listen and please tell me what to do so this ends up being a great remix.

Please note, this is no where near completion. I still have a ton of work to do on it.

Here's what I have so far:

EDIT: Is this in the right thread?

I think this thread was made for it!

Digging the track, & think that now you've started, you must recreate the whole album in an '80s style. 8)

I can imagine Ryan Gosling staring wistfully into someone's eyes to this song

That song is totally bad man! (In the 80s sense of the word)
Saw a blind man walking down the street
Greets every person he chanced to meet
Saw a cop write a ticket to a man over fifty
Fell over laughing screaming he was a hippie
Ran into a granny had a smile on her face
Broke a trophy she just won in a race

Don't worry about the future
Forget about the past
Whether it's good or bad
It's a gas

thanks for your interest twoism :)

I've worked a bit more on this song. Give it another listen. It's saved over the previous song so you can find it at the same link in the OP.

I've added a simple bass line. Made the punchy line more bass-y and added reverb. I also changed the synth patch for a part.

The layout is the same as before and does not represent a finished layout.

Have another listen and see what you think. It's getting closer to being finished.
