Funnily enough, I dug out my copy of Folk Implosion's "Natural One" (CD singles, remember those?...) from the Kids soundtrack the other day...

Nice find.

this is harmony korine, the guy who wrote kids. It is very much his style, one could say. His movie Julien Donkey-Boy, which he wrote as well as directed, is like this pretty much the whole way through, only more potently so.

Well yes it just has to be, but I looked at the end rolling credits of the movie and every track used is displayed in detail who produced it and who edited it etcetera.. but I don't see a ODB reference. I'm also looking on the internets to find a reference that ODB participated in this track but I don't find anything... have you found something relevant?
I can't find anything either.. I'm almost POSITIVE that's Ol' Dirty Bastard..

Gummo. Yeah, that's a great movie. I haven't seen Julian Donkey Boy yet. Heard good things about it though.

it's also very Brian Eno like, ala Discreet Music.

Can't believe that track is from 95. Sounds like BOC all the way. Wonder if they somehow met the bros or heard their more psychedelic side in the old tunes tapes before making it, or if they created it without knowing of them.

Originally released on this comp, in 1993 on cassette https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lou_B's_W ... _'87_-_'93

I read somewhere how that piece was recorded and what instrument was used, probably back in the late 90's.. I can remember nothing more about that.
