I was at Glastonbury and for the first 30 minutes of the set it was incredibly frustrating as I was surrounded by people clearly not into the band just chatting (I even heard one young girl say "Cant believe we are missing Dizzie Rascal for this) but after the non fans had departed it was excellent. I didn't see it coming after the start but as the crowd dwindled, the atmosphere picked up and it felt almost like a homecoming. Thom was clearly enjoying himself and the refrain from the crowd of "For a minute there I lost myself" for 10 minutes after the band left the stage will always stay with me.

As a side note I love festivals, especially Glastonbury as the range of music is unrivalled by any festival in Britain, but the people who just go to see stuff on the main stage confuses me, I think there are 100 stages at Glastonbury. Surely you can find someone you are into. I actually loved Radiohead for not in any way trying to get the masses involved by playing any big hitters early doors and sticking to their set. By the end it paid off in the best possible way. Stood side by side with lovers of the band in a massive field singing along to album tracks.

Saw them for the first time like 3 weeks ago at Best Kept Secret festival. I must say, it was fucking jam packed at the stage, loud as fuck too. But once Thom Yorke came on an entire silence just struck the crowd, it was so fucking surreal.

Setlist for me personally was amazing too, starting off with Daydreaming, they even played Climbing up the Walls, which is one of my favourites, and they do not do that song live often.

Other top songs for me were Idioteque, Exit Music, Street Spirit, Nude, Let Down and Lotus Flower. I think I teared up like 3 times during the concert. Absolutely amazing set and preformance.

Holy shit, i'd be able to knock someone out if they'd be angry for missing Dizzee Rascal whilst being at Radiohead.

Oh and Radiohead live is fucking awesome indeed. My honeymoon the day after the wedding was Radiohead live haha. I'm a fucking fanboy, but goddamn it was amazing. Thom Yorke live is quite the fucking experience.

Aside from the excellence of the compositions, AMSP is, perhaps more than any other element that constitutes it, a masterclass in production; every part is immaculately recorded, processed and considered. They don't just add a hard-panned piano melody so much as make a vine-like filigree out of piano samples to drape carefully over the other elements, a string-section so much as a clattering mass of controlled pizzicato chaos. And of course with Godrich at the helm everything is going to sound in its right place in terms of mix/eq etc!

A year on and AMSP continues to inspire me.

And I've noticed that people are seeing RH at Festivals mostly. If the opportunity arises see them at a mid-sized venue for a headliner show instead; you'll be surrounded by only the craziest RH fans who've probably gone to a load of trouble (as you'll surely have to) to nab that golden ticket! I saw them last Summer in LA @ The Shrine Auditorium and, though I won't openly discuss the amount I splurged on the second-hand market to secure a front n center row 6 ticket, I could only adequately describe the experience with gushing hyperbole... The sound, the crowd, the overall vibe, the setlist! This recording is from that evening from pretty much where I was standing:

Yeah, they were phenomenal on Friday night. That was the third time I've seen them at Glasgow Green, and the first time sober. They're as tight as a gnat's chuff right now and the light show and visuals are amazing. 10/10.
