Hmmm. I wasn't massive on Hereditary to be honest. Thought it was massively over rated.

Midsommar is one, if not the most claustrophobic and intense movie I've ever seen. I highly recommend it.

Finally saw Midsommar last night. Absolutely fantastic. Far superior to Hereditary in my view. My only minor gripe is the strong parallel with Wicker Man, although the relationship element to the story gives it sufficient room to move into its own territory in its own right. Very impressive.

I thought, that Midsommar was too long. The second half became almost like an american slasher movie. Completely took all the mistery from the movie for me. The wicker-man was weird and I didn't know what to expect almost until the last shot. What I really enjoy about the Midsommar it is the first scene. That was some haunting stuff. I remember even had a bad dream days after I saw it. Really dark stuff.

Funnily enough, the original cut was approx half an hour longer apparently.

Watched Midsommar on Saturday there, really enjoyed it but felt it was too long as well.
Some 'reveals' toward the end seemed perfectly edited while the length of other scenes laboured too much, allowing the tension and mystery to dissipate.

I need to see Midsommar. It's been on my list for awhile now.

Finally watched 1917, which was really good.

Also good is Uncut Gems, though it helps if you like Daniel Lopatin aka OPN (he did the score) and are a fan of the Boston Celtics, however these are not prerequisites to enjoying the movie.

That opening scene to Midsommar is devastating. It's one in a very short list of movies of recent times to induce actual fear and terror in me.

On a side note, this movie goes very well with the album You Won't Get What You Want by Daughters. Especially the title track.

"Right at Your Door" is a movie about chemical attack in downtown L.A. You should watch it. A simple story with deep concept on a possible horrific event.

A 15 min documentary about a guy, well, trying to contact aliens. It was a fun little ride and the soundtrack was amazing, right up BoC fan's alley I guess.
