...by Ulrich Schnauss. I thought a few of you here probably knew about 'ol Mr. Schnauss and probably knew about this song. So I figured you may enjoy this:
About a month or two ago, I was at a friends place (getting baked

) and he said he had something he wanted to show me. When he finially got the TV/DVD player and sound hooked up properly he was ready to press play. What he did was played a DVD of various NFBC films muted, and then ran the music from his winamp playlist from his laptop through the TV. As you may have guessed, some of the music goes really well with these films!
Anyway... the film that was playing was "The Owl who Married A Goose" and the song was "You Were The Only One Around" by Ulrich Schnauss. As the film played I noticed the music went really well with the video. Here's the thing: The previous night he was with more friends (geting baked

, which I couldn't partake cause I was at work) and they did this same thing but didn't have any order to it. The winamp list was on random while the whole DVD of various short NFBC films played through. When this film started, out of THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of songs on the winamp playlist this song started playing EXSACTLY the moment the film did, and ended at precsisley the same time the film finished. It was friggin' insane... it inspired him to mix the two and upload it to YouTube.
The film is incredible with that song... it goes so well with the visuals it's like it was made to be. It's so very, very sad but beautiful. I know you guys would like it. It was definatley a powerful moment for all of us that we'll never forget.
Kind makes you wonder if there is some kind of cosmic force watching over everything after all... just setting stuff like this up to amuse the hell out of mortals.
When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.
