Ulrich Schnauss - "Goodbye"
Moderator: Aesthetics
I'm only on the second listen and I think it's my favorite album of '07 so far. Listening at full blast I feel like I'm no longer sitting in front of my computer but floating into another dimension. Lush as fuck!
It's so layered it's gonna take quite a few listens to pick up on all the different sounds going on.
Does anyone have a link to the cover art for this?

its definately different. when i first heard the density of loveless i was confused, but it eventually grew to be a favorite once i dug into the sound, hopefully this album will work out the same way. The only track i didnt like was medusa,...i dont like the name and i dont like how it sounds like the name.

Sounds a bit better on CD than the slightly murky leaked mixes. It's an album that's grown on me a lot. Medusa is still disturbingly close in sound to Curve, which I find distracting, and the vocals on Shine just don't work for me. It's a too bit "indie ballad" for my tastes.
The rest, however, is ace. It's a pop record. Indeed, I found it in the Rock & Pop section of my local record store rather than the Electronic & Dance section.

I just saw a copy of this at Newbury in Providence. I don't know if the record is any good though because I pretty much just listened to "Shine" over and over again when I had it on mp3. For some reason I'm not a very consistent listener of Schnauss's other CDs so i've been hesistating....
Really I'd like to find some Tuss in a store.... seems like it's going to be a cold day in hell...

Stars is where its at.
I picked this up at Good Records over the weekend.
Again, sounds so much better than what's floating around out there. However, I must also say that it there is just a HUGE difference between listening on headphones and in my car.
On headphones I can pick things out.
In the car its like a big muddy wall of sound.
