Your feeelings on that genre?

a friend of mine turned me onto it with Caspa and Rusko's Cockney Violin

fucking boss stuff and when i listened to it I realized i might not be the onlyu person using the warble massivesynth

Only stuff I've heard in the genre is Burial, and he is good. Didn't think there were many others in the field.

i'm a fan of the genre but there's more dubstep i don't like than dubstep i do like

Completely agree. I like stuff like Martyn etc. but some of it's just too damn grimy for me!

Burial is more about the syncopated beats and atmosphere within the track as opposed to the warbling basslines...

Artists on Tempa and Planet Mu are great examples and trendsetters in the genre; like Benga, Boxcutter, Skream & Vex'd. The new Harmonic 313 album on Warp is heavily dubstep influenced as well.

I myself don't care much for a lot of music classified as "dubstep." I really like what the "purple" trio is putting out though, definitely check them out: anything by joker, gemmy, or guido. archetiq is also really cool

hello all! first time poster, longtime troller.

take it from a noob. Skream is the shit. i have a couple of the "Skreamizm" EP's, and they are really good. i really like the song "Lightning" on "Skreamizm 1". i recommend it.

i think the darker the dubstep, the better the dubstep, i.e. Distance. his LP "My Demons" is also worth a spin.

I'm not big into dubstep, although Harmonic 313 and Skream are my favourites. Quite like Benga's 'Diary Of An Afro Warrior' album as well.

yup, check out the tempa label. Skream is a kid about my age but he pretty much invented the genre. Benga is a friend of his, they have some sweet collabs as well. Listening to dubstep makes me want to break things/start a riot, so I rarely listen to that stuff. Good, but not usually suiting my mood.

the Burial & Four Tet collaboration "Wolf Cub & Moth" is pretty interesting. i especially liked the track "Moth".

'26 Basslines' is, imho, one of the best dubstep tracks ever... Unreal on a top soundsystem.
